A Whimsical Take on Two Classic Tales

Twice Upon A Christmas

The Gift of the Magi is a classic Christmas story of love and sacrifice. It was written by O. Henry and first published in the New York Sunday World in December 1905. The original story is about Jim and Della, an impoverished young couple who make sacrifices in order to buy each other meaningful Christmas gifts.

Scrooge Has Left the Building is a play that takes place at Christmas time. An old man sits in his sitting room eating porridge. Marley, a ghost, bursts in and begins to rattle his chains, scaring the man half to death. Marley claims he has come to save the man from a horrible fate, but the man points out that he is not Scrooge. The play humorously depicts the events that happened on the night before Marley and his spectral friends met Scrooge.
